Block 2 Thursday/Friday 9/28/17-9/29/17

Today in class we will be doing some basic practice using latitude and longitude.  This is some good stuff to know in terms of working with and manipulating maps.  Hope that you are ready because this is our last day together before the Fall Break!  Your Virtual Campus Tour is due tonight, don't forget!

Objectives:
  1. Discuss the attributes of latitude and longitude through note taking and collaborative practice
  2. Locate and identify locations via their geographic coordinates by completing a longitude/latitude practice w/s

Block 1 Tuesday/Wednesday 9/26/17-9/27/17

Today in class we will be working on our VCT.  Remember that if you want to earn high marks you need to make this product as interactive as possible, meaning it must include a wide variety of links and illustrate that you know how to use Google Slides as a production tool.  It will be due the evening of block 2 so if you don't get it done in class today you will have some extra time to work on it.  But do not plan on working on it in class on block two!  

Objectives:
  1. Transfer data from paper into a digital map of the campus with live hyperlinks and photos
  2. Format a Google Slides presentation to design a published campus tour book

Today in class we will be finishing our data collection so that if you have everything you need to start working on your digital maps.  This is our last week before we get a week off!  We will be spending most of the week working on our VCT maps so make sure that you work hard to get it done!  I hope that you all had wonderful weekends!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Fairytale Project Workday #1


Today in class we will be working on our Fairy Tale Projects!  We will start with a little modeling of what a picture book should look like and how your presentation should sound.  This is one of my favorite projects and I am so looking forward to seeing what you produce!  Remember that you get two block days to work this week and I expect that you put a lot of effort into getting your work done!
