nObjective: SWBAT discuss consequences of Syrian refugee crisis as well as work on virtual maps. 

nWarm up: Answer the questions after watching the video:

nWhat is the refugee crisis?

nWhat is being done to help these people?

nWhat do you think the future consequences are?

nHomework: Maps/extra credit due before block two (Thursday/Friday). Submit them to the classroom. If you are turning in extra credit please hand it in at the start of class on Thursday or Friday.

¤Warm up: Today (9/17) is Constitution Day! What do you know about the Constitution of the US?
¤Homework: Current events due 12/14!

Tuesday/Wednesday 9.15.15-9.16.15

Agenda:
-warm up
-group quiz (the sub will hand this out...you have ten minutes to work on this)
-five themes readings: El Salvador / Azerbaijan
   use the following two readings and make a new document using Docs to create two charts that answer all of the questions. Use the following guidelines:
        
          1) Create a google doc with proper file name

          2) Design a table using the google doc features that replicates the one in the document (you can figure it out! I promise)

          3) Make sure to put a heading on your google doc compliant with MLA style formatting

          4) Fill in the table with accurate information from the reading

          5) Submit the doc to Google Classroom​

-read this article: Early Mapping
     write reading (on a piece of binder paper) take notes about the article.
     answer the questions after your notes (remember to answer using complete sentences)

All of this is due for block two.
