For this activity you will be creating a new Google Doc, writing a three paragraph introduction to yourself, and sharing it with a partner. After you have completed your three paragraphs you will be sharing it with me on Google Drive.
Style Guide: your Doc must be formatted according to these Chicago guidelines:
- double-spaced with left-justification
- Times New Roman 12pt font with 1” margins
- Title Page (center justified)
- Title
- You Name
- Teacher’s Name
- Period
- Date
- Include Page numbers - begin numbering on the first page of text, not the title page
Content (What are you writing about?):
Each paragraph must be a minimum of five (5) complete sentences
Paragraph 1 - Personal biography (tell us about you and your family, where does your family come from? What is your cultural history?)
Paragraph 2 - Your favorite things (travel, food, hobbies, music, movies, books, etc.)
Paragraph 3 - What did you do over the summer? OR What are you looking forward to about high school? OR What are you going to miss about middle school?
Share Time:
Once you have completed your three paragraphs, share it with a partner on Google Drive.
Once you have shared your document, and your partner has shared theirs, read your partner’s three paragraphs. Using the comments feature, make some annotations about your partner’s document (what did you find interesting? what are some similarities between the two of you?). When you are finished, write three complete sentences about your partner to share with the class (one sentence regarding each paragraph).
